Digging In at Real Life Fellowship

On this page, you will find lots of different ways you can plug in and serve at the church. Whie we remain a community focused church, there are still many things that you can help in the church from setting up on Sunday morning to retrieving frisbees off the roof.

You can sign-up to help with the following during our montly service offering. The service offering is like a financial offering, only we give of our time instead of our money. So every 4th Sunday of the month, we invite people to get up from their seats and visit different tables with different service offering opportunities that you will find in the "digging In" and "opportunities" tabs.

Sunday Lunch

Every week, Mitzi Miedema and her crew work hard to prepare the meal; however, they do need your help. If you are interested in getting involved with the food ministry, we have something for both big and small commitments. Here are some of our needs that you can sign-up to help with:

Sunday After Service Clean-Up

Every week we use the auditorium for worship and everyweek we need to leave it looking look. That means we need people working every week to make it happen. Here are just a few things that need to be done:  

•    Assist in wiping down all tables
•    Assist in folding tables and returning to storage room across hall
•    Stack chairs {10 per cart} returning to storage room across hall
•    Assist with washing juice and water containers
•    Assist with rinsing coffee pots
•    Return all beverage containers w/ cart to storage area in 204
•    Vacuum auditorium
•    Empty trash containers in dumpster {Key above sink in Kitchen}
•    Pick up serving tables in hall way {store in Joshs' office storage}
•    Pick up RLF signs {Both 15th St. &16 St.}

Getting involved with Youth Ministry

Something that is very important to us as a faith community is our youth. Since its inception as a church, RLF has always had "something" going on for kids, and right now we have a lot going on. If you are interested in getting involved in the lives of our youth, don't be silent, speak up. We want to help you explore that call. We have ministry for children, middle school, high school, and a very casual college ministry that is focused on plugging students into other ministries. 

If you are interested in plugging in with kids or middle school, talk to Carolyn. If you are interested in high school ministry, talk to Jason. Our college ministry is bigger than any group, so if you are interested in getting involved in college ministry, find a college student on Sunday morning and start getting to know her or him. We have so much we can learn from college students and they have a lot they can learn from you.

Getting involved with Worship

If you show up to one of our worship services, you'll notice that music is a big part of our worship at Real Life Fellowship. If you are interested in getting involved with the worship band or some other aspect of our worship such as tech, communion, baptisms, or whatever, please contact Josh.

Other Gifts and Talents?

Do you have some other gift or talent that doesn't seem to fit in any of these catagories? We're sure we can find a way to plug you in by either helping you make your dream for ministry a reality or helping you find your dream. Talk to any of our staff if you want to explore this option.
